Since 2014 JAMK has focused its food related studies in the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Service Business on Sustainable Gastronomy, focusing on the sustainable food system. UN SDGs create a framework for the curriculum and all professional topics are seen through the sustainability lense, both from local and global perspective. In addition to understanding the dimensions of sustainability and learning to act responsibly, students practise systems thinking skills which are essential in sustainability.
