Slow Food Taste Education – Snack “fika” tasting experience – for kids of all ages
Let’s discover links between the senses and pleasure with a snack tasting experience. During the tasting, participants are guided to identify the role of the different senses in overall taste perception and to focus on some of the sensations and emotions linked to the experience. Why is this food enjoyable? What memories and moments is it associated with? What ideas does it bring to mind? The idea is to arouse curiosity, to teach the basic concept of tasting and on differentiating the individual senses, not always an easy task for kids under 7, but always fun and tasty!
This is a free event. Donations for the amount of your choice are welcomed but not required.
Date: 2 september
Time: 17.00-17.45
Place: Outdoor Classroom, Stora Skuggan

A Walk on the Wild Side pt. 2
Markus Särhagen is a forager and wilderness guide on a quest to explore and convey the intrinsic value of wild nature from the food and medicine perspective by facilitating an open discussion circle and wildfood/foraging walk where we will flow with the collective interest of the group. Some potential subjects we could dive into are herbology, mycology, eastern traditional medicine, nutrition, fasting and fermentation. Heighten your attention towards the ecosystems that surround us. Understand their interconnections and become part of them during this unique excursion. Special invites for this event have been offered to our friends from Järva allotment gardens and Reformaten, central in the field trip activity that follows immediately afterwards (separate registration is needed, link here).
Tickets 150 SEK, register here at Slow Food Stockholm.

Field trip with Reformaten
A tasting journey from the forests of Stora Skuggan to allotments on Järvafältet.
Slow Food Stockholm and Reformaten with friends organize an exploratory food trip that pushes the boundaries of what local food with inspiration from the world has to offer. We start in Stora Skuggan with a trip in the forest and cooking of what was offered as well as a short lecture/workshop about why we need to change the food system and overview by Reformaten. After that, the bus goes from Stora Skuggan to Järva. Yalla Rinkeby, Boodla, Reformaten & co invite you to a Harvest Festival at their allotment on Järvafältet. There, our guests get to taste what has come out of the earth on the spot. Raw or cooked, delicious tastings inspired by food cultures from around the world will be offered.
