In Finland, Slow Food Västnyland welcomes Christmas market-goers in Ekenäs (6–7 December) to enjoy homemade glögg and traditional potato porridge. Learn more here.
Slow Food Danmark celebrates Terra Madre Day by awarding three local small-scale food producers, farmers, activists, or venues with a Slow Food Diploma. The winners receive their diplomas during a ceremony at the Groent Market farmer’s market in Copenhagen (December 7th), where the recipients will share their work, visions, and challenges with market-goers. Slow Food Gästrikland & Uppsala arranges two dinners: a dinner featuring dishes highlighting the versatile potato, taking different shapes in various dishes (December 10th), and a traditional Swedish Christmas smorgasbord (December 11th). The occasion also marks the start of the group’s focus for the following year, dedicated to a food riot against ultra-processed food and taking a stand for locally produced food.
