Are you curious about the Slow Food movement and our activities in the Nordic countries? You are always welcome to join us, find a local group near you, and engage in both local as well as regional and international Slow Food activities and collaborations.
Here follows a short presentation of our activities and the 21 local Slow Food groups across the Nordic region.
What We Do
Slow Food in the Nordic Countries serves as a common base for and represents Slow Food convivia and communities in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.
As an umbrella organization, we support the cooperation and development of Slow Food initiatives in our region, serving as a forum for exchanging experiences and knowledge about Nordic food, food culture, and good, clean, and fair food for everyone in our region. Among our events are regular online meetings, as well as the upcoming Terra Madre Nordic event, which is scheduled to take place in Norway in April 2026. The previous editions were held in Sweden in 2022 and Denmark in 2018.

Local Slow Food Groups

To become a member, head over to the website of Slow Food International, choose your location, your membership, and your local Slow Food group. As a member, you will:
- Discover how your membership supports good, clean, and fair food through our monthly newsletter.
- Join a local Slow Good group and make an impact in your area.
- Access capacity building, exchange meetings, and training opportunities through the Slow Food network.
- Connect with members of the Slow Food movement in the Nordic countries, meeting people across the region at digital and in-person gatherings organized by the umbrella organization Slow Food in the Nordic Countries.
