Slow Food in the Nordic Countries (SFiN, for short) serves as a common base for the Nordic Slow Food convivia and communities. We are an umbrella organization supporting the cooperation and development of Slow Food initiatives in the region. We serve as a forum for exchanging experiences and knowledge about Nordic food, food culture, and good, clean and fair food for everyone in our region.
We represent Slow Food convivia and communities in the five Nordic countries and three regions in the Nordic geography. We cooperate with our Slow Food friends in the Baltic states.
Our Goal
We aim to create a solid foundation for the Slow Food movement in the Nordic countries to respond to political and social challenges specific to the region.
Activities
We initiate Nordic gatherings and organize the biennial event Terra Madre Nordic.
We support and raise awareness of international Slow Food initiatives, projects, and campaigns.
We hold regular calls for Nordic Slow Food leaders to share current initiatives and ideas.
